In a few weeks it will be great to see everyone out on the pitch playing soccer after a very long cold winter. The SWSC continues to make improvements to our programs that I feel will only improve the experience for our players, parents and coaches. Many of these changes come from the suggestion provided by the coaches. If you have an idea that you feel would improve our club please don’t hesitate to contact me and I would be more than happy to sit down with you and discuss ideas to improve our club.
I first wanted to thank all the head coaches, assistant coaches and managers for everything you do. I have been coaching soccer in South Windsor for 15 years and I personally understand the commitment and time you volunteer during the year to prepare for each season. I know many of the travel coaches also commit time during the winter season to organize teams to play indoor soccer. THANK YOU for everything you do. Without YOU the SWSC would not have the great soccer club that we have.
I wanted to review some of the changes you will see this season. We have made a commitment to set-up age appropriate programs for all ages ranging from our U4 Little Kickers program up to a U18 Boys travel soccer team. These changes will allow for a nice progression that will challenge the players, but also allow them to have fun in a safe family oriented soccer environment.
I wanted to spend some time to review all of our programs we offer in town as some of the newer coaches might not be as familiar with everything we can offer our players and coaches in South Windsor. You will also notice we have a very nice progression throughout our programs which will allow our players to properly develop their soccer skills.
Many of the coaches in South Windsor have seen me on the pitch or have known me for many years observing games on the sideline or helping out during a training session. I encourage some of the newer coaches that do not know me to reach out directly to me if you have any questions about any of our programs, would like me to set up a training session for you or would just like to sit down and chat about soccer… I would be more than happy to assist you.
Thank you everyone and good luck this upcoming season!!!

South Windsor Soccer Club has got a very special opportunity for your soccer family this season.
As part of our relationship with Evolution Soccer Programs, we have coaches from the UK that stay in our community and provide professional training on our soccer program.
The coaches are hosted by families through-out the year and soccer families have the opportunity to have one of our international coaches stay with them as a cultural exchange family soccer experience this coming season.
If you are interested in this great family housing opportunity and able to house one of our coaches for 1 - 2 weeks, please contact Lynn Nochisaki at
or call 860-490-3681.
The Ray Reid Young Stars Camp is a weeklong, three-hour a day instructional soccer program for boys & girls ages 6-13. This camp seeks to develop and improve each player's technique, skills and creativity with the ball. Under the direction of a first-class coaching staff, players will be exposed to dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and small-sided games emphasizing touches on the ball and possession. The training focus for younger players ages 6-8 will be to improve their skills in a fun-filled environment and players ages 9-13 will work on technical refinement and receive an introduction to the tactical side of the game. The South Windsor Young Stars Camp features a strong coach-to-player ratio and a certified trainer will be on duty throughout camp.
The camp will challenge players to keep improving their skills in a fun-filled environment while instilling a passion for the game. All players will receive a Ray Reid Soccer School camp t-shirt, a soccer ball and a Young Stars Certificate.
