Soccer games and practices will be canceled when the town of South Windsor closes fields and/or in the case of dangerous conditions. The safety of our soccer families is our first priority.
Field Closure
Although SWSC is not part of the town rec department, we partner with SWPR for field usage. At times, the Superintendent of Parks recognizes that fields are oversaturated and likely to be damaged. These decisions are often made in the afternoon and the soccer club will contact parents via email once we are made aware of field closures.
Training Center Closure
E-mail notifications will be sent out if the SWSC Indoor Training Center will be closed due to inclement weather.
Club Cancelations
In case of inclement weather, including but not limited to excessive heat, thunder, extreme cold, and weather warnings, SWSC may make a decision to cancel practices and games. These decisions are often made with an eye on changing the weather.
Thunderstorms
During thunderstorms, all players and adults must leave the field immediately. This applies to observed thunder and/or lightning. Play may resume 30 minutes after the last thunderclap or lightning strike. If you drop off your children at practice, please be available to pick up your player and be sure your coach has correct contact information.
On questionable days, please check the following resources:

Due to field availability, practices may be rescheduled at the convenience of the coach, but recreational games may not be rescheduled.
We make every effort to hold practice and games as scheduled. Refunds are not issued for weather cancelations.
